Nomamare was born from the artistic world of Alma Selimović and a shared vision to bring her sculptural language into wearable form.

What began as Alma’s individual artistic exploration evolved into a collective journey.

Inspired by her work, a small team of artistic enthusiasts recognized something deeper in her approach.

It was a way of translating nature, texture, and a distinct summer energy into objects that can be worn, lived with, and felt.

With the island of Brač as our home and creative sanctuary, we shape the colors of the Adriatic, Mediterranean light, and raw natural materials into everything we create.

Each Nomamare piece begins as an idea and emerges as a small sculptural object, individually handcrafted.

Guided by the textures of olive wood, carob, and ancient bog oak, and completed through the fluid movement of resin, every piece follows its own path.

We don’t use molds. We don’t repeat forms. Every piece is truly one of a kind, carrying its own shape, color, and character.

But more than that, each piece carries a story. A story that begins with us and is completed by you.

Because in the end, Nomamare is not just about what we create. It’s about what you choose, what draws you in, and the story you decide to wear.

For us, Nomamare means “the name of the sea.” But the true meaning is yours.
